Your background

10-15+ years' experience in a large z/OS SMS environment including experience with the majority of the following tools and technologies:

• Operating System Environments

• Z/OS
• JES2 and JES3
• Hardware:

• Hitachi [disk] Virtual Storage Platform (VSP).
• IBM Tape (virtualization, libraries and media)
• Software:

• Strong working Knowledge of IBM System Managed Storage (SMS) concepts and other associated IBM components/facilities:

• DFSMShsm
• DFSMSdss
• DFSMSdfp Utilities (IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, etc.)
• ICKDSF
• Access method services (AMS)
• Object Access Method (OAM)
• ICF (Integrated Catalog Facility)
• ISMF
• TCDB(VOLCAT)
• SDSF
• MVS JCL
• TSO/ISPF
• IBM Tape tools (including VMA, VEHSTATS)
• Working knowledge of CA Technologies software products:

• CA1 Tape Management System
• CA CopyCAT
• CA Disk Backup and Restore
• Enterprise Tape library software HSC, SMC and ExLM.
• Strong leadership and communication skills both written and verbal are required

Desired

Off Hours Support and on call

The group this position is part of provides 24x7 support for production and test systems and therefore will require some off-hours and weekend work.

What you can expect

Mainframe Storage Management on z/OS position in Singapore to support DASD/Tape infrastructure for Consumer, Card, Global wealth management business, using mainframe storage management skills.

What you will do

• Participates in IBM VTS administration and configuration, CA1 administration, ACS code maintenance and updates, general SMS support, disaster recovery support, DASD configuration management, on-call support and Storage End User support.
• Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; may manage moderately complex project and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
• Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor.
• Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants or managers
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of various factors.
• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
• Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems.
• May assist and help train lower level analysts.
