Our client is a global PE firm backed by a blue chip and international asset management firm based in town. It offers generous benefits (e.g. 24 days leave, attractive var bonus) and a 1 day per week WFH arrangement.

This is an Associate Director, Finance and Tax role in the finance team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer & CFO, the incumbent is responsible for

group tax planning and tax compliance, support of accounting practices, and the maintenance of accounting records and financial statements for assigned entities.

This role requires a forward-thinking approach and a robust understanding of the regulatory environment impacting the financial aspects of the asset management industry.

Responsibilities



Oversee tax matters of the organisation including tax planning, compliance, reporting, and maintaining good relationships with external tax authorities. Develop tax strategies to optimize the company's financial performance while ensuring compliance with the tax laws and regulations. With assistance from external tax service providers, manage the preparation and/or review of the annual tax returns and quarterly GST returns Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial and management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets. Assess and implement improvements to processes, policies, and procedures within the Finance function, maintaining internal controls for effective department operation. Contribute to the preparation and management of the company's budget, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives, including legal matters related to finance and accounting implications. Liaise with the COO/CFO and executive team on matters related to the financial health and regulatory compliance of the company. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and take full responsibility for the accuracy of the financial statements assigned. Support to prepare monthly payments, management reports, balance sheet reconciliation Coordinate and support audit processes including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations. Prepare and provide financial records, documentation, and information as required by auditors.

Ideal Candidate



Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
