Role Description / Areas of responsibility:

• Analyze and forecast key macroeconomic data for ASEAN countries, focusing on Indonesia and Malaysia
• Write regular notes on policy announcements and key data releases, as well as thematic research papers
• Contribute to regional and global publications and collaborate with strategists
• Develop quantitative forecasting and new proprietary models
• Service client requests, and regularly present economic views to external and internal clients including traders

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

• Minimum of 2 years\' experience as an Economist or Research Analyst covering the ASEAN region
• Minimum of 1 year experience covering Indonesian Markets
• Minimum of 1 year experience in developing economic forecasting models
• Advanced spreadsheet skills and proficient in econometric modelling (knowledge of EVIEWS at the minimum
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Preferably has good relationships with central banks and other key government institutions in Indonesia and/or Malaysia
• Strong personable skills, a team player, and an excellent collaborator in conducting research
• Self-driven and has demonstrable resilience to working under pressure
