[What the role is]
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.

As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore \xe2\x80\x93 banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It is also responsible for well-functioning financial markets, sound conduct, and investor education.

MAS also works with the financial industry to promote Singapore as a dynamic international financial centre. It facilitates the development of infrastructure, adoption of technology, and upgrading of skills in the financial industry.

[What you will be working on]

This is a 11 months contract role.

  • Support the Sustainability Group in pioneering research in global trends, horizon scanning and new emerging areas (e.g. impact investing and finance, inter-linkages between social and environmental outcomes, scope 4 disclosures etc). In this role, the individual will interface with both external stakeholders (e.g. financial institutions, knowledge partners, consultants) and internal stakeholders (e.g. functional departments in MAS).
  • Research and establish contacts of relevant sustainability academia in global institutes of higher learning to advance MAS\xe2\x80\x99 sustainability objectives.
  • Market research on training providers that can be accredited by the Institute of Banking and Finance against the Sustainable Finance Technical Skills and Competencies.
  • Support the team in managing key accounts and research institutes for example but not exhaustive, e.g. project management, contracts and procurement, logistical support for events and meetings etc.
[What we are looking for]
  • No working experience required
  • Knowledge in MS Word and MS Excel required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong team player
  • Careful and meticulous worker
  • Strong project management skills and able to organise and assist on organization-wide projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
