About the Role
We are seeking a
dynamic and experienced Account Manager / Business Development Manager
with a strong background in the
banking and financial services (BFSI)
industry. This role focuses on selling
customized software solutions and IT services
to enterprise clients.
As an
independent individual contributor
, you will drive the full sales lifecycle -- from opportunity identification and proposal development to deal closure and account growth -- while managing relationships with senior stakeholders and delivering value-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute
account strategies
, including account mapping, planning, and reviews.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the
BFSI sector
.
Lead the
end-to-end sales process
: opportunity qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
Manage
contracting, MSA negotiations
, and renewal discussions.
Drive
account mining
and identify cross-sell or upsell opportunities.
Build and maintain
C-level relationships
across client organizations.
Collaborate with delivery, technical, and product teams to craft tailored IT and software solutions.
Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to develop go-to-market strategies.
Requirements
Proven experience in the banking or financial services (BFSI)
industry.
Strong understanding of
selling IT services, software products, or customized technology solutions
.
Demonstrated success in
solution selling
, including crafting value-based business propositions.
Excellent experience in
prospecting, qualifying leads, and conducting client presentations
.
Track record of
winning new logos
and expanding strategic accounts.
Ability to manage
C-level stakeholders
and conduct high-level negotiations.
Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
High motivation, target orientation, and ability to work independently.
Leadership qualities with a focus on collaboration and customer success.
Good understanding of
software services business models
and
global market dynamics
.
Preferred Competencies
Understanding of
core banking systems, digital banking, or fintech ecosystems

Exposure to
proposal management, RFP/RFI processes
