Work under the supervision of the WATATAWA leadership team to contribute to the development of stakeholder engagement programmes for clients.
Media monitoring of client issues and development of monitoring/analysis reports (daily, weekly or monthly as required)
Research on client or new business-related issues
Basic media relations including maintenance of media contact lists for each assigned client; support for the team in building/maintaining personal relationships with key journalists or social media influencers \xe2\x80\x93 based on building respect among media for WATATAWA\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to substance over \xe2\x80\x9cspin\xe2\x80\x9d; drafting of basic media releases.
Assigned roles in event or client roadshow coordination and implementation.
Coordination of certain aspects of agreed client workflow and programme delivery; coordination/liaison with partner firms on client assignments and programme execution.
Assist in maintaining WATATAWA\xe2\x80\x99s internet presence \xe2\x80\x93 website, blog posts, Social Media by contributing content, ideas and opinion.
Support other marketing outreach as requested e.g. research for speeches; updating of credentials and case studies.
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of Diploma or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Communications or Business in Marketing
Internship experience in the communications field, preferably from a PR agency will be a plus
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience
Good grasp of all basic public relations tools and social media strategies
Able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc)
Ability to write and communicate well in English
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
