Job summary Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented junior lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. This Associate Corporate Counsel will be based in Singapore and will primarily support AWS’ Public Sector Sales and Marketing teams in ASEAN and around the broader Asia-Pacific region. They will negotiate strategic enterprise agreements with a focus on ASEAN public sector customers and resellers, provide compliance training and awareness, handle pre-litigation disputes and inquiries, assist with responses to bid proposals/tenders, and work proactively with regulators and policy makers. Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic government procurement vehicles. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, have strong written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. This position will be based in Singapore. Travel, including international travel, may be required.

• In house experience at a technology company or in a private practice technology group.
• Knowledge of ASEAN public procurement laws and tender policies and procedures.
• Transactional experience involving public sector customers (including government, state owned enterprises, NGOs, health care and educational institutions).
