Role Responsibilities

  • Credit Analysis work for Global Subsidiaries team in CCIB Client Coverage in Singapore
Business
  • We are hiring a in the Global Subsidiaries Group of Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking. The Global Subsidiaries Group looks at all inbound business in Singapore from a CCIB perspective The team focuses on banking coverage of a few businesses relating to groups domiciled outside Singapore and having business in Singapore: Commodities Traders & Agribusiness ("CTA"), Metals & Mining and Oil & Gas, Consumers, Technologies, Healthcare, Shipping, etc. sectors. These businesses are core segments of the Bank and are expected to make a significant contribution in delivering the Bank\'s growth aspirations. SCB has been one of pioneers in these areas in the past, launching new products and solutions that were the first of its kind for the industry and we continue to lead the way in Asia for these businesses given our product capability and network.

  • We are looking for a dynamic and energetic team-mate to join the Global Subsidiaries team in Singapore to work as a Credit Analyst as well as work with Senior Relationship Managers in the team to manage some of the larger accounts. As a member of the Team, you will manage the credit for a portfolio of diverse clients and work with RM\'s to deliver to these clients the whole array of the Bank\'s product suite of Transaction Banking ("TB"), Lending and Global Credit Markets ("GCM") which includes Financial Markets and Corporate Finance. As such, the role involves working closely with key stakeholders (RM\'s, Credit, TB, FM, Distribution, Portfolio Management etc.) to align business strategy and drive the business growth.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Relationship Manager, Credit Officers, Legal and compliance, Credit Policy
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 2+ years of experience in Banking Industry
  • Excellent analytical skills, with proven ability to interpret, analyse and present information
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to manage multiple stakeholders across Industry, Product and Risk
  • Deal experience and understanding of Product capabilities of the Bank to help identify business opportunities and associated risks
  • Strong Credit and business strategy skills, with experience in managing large global clients or product teams
  • Self-confident person with a high level of drive, dedication, pride and exceptional attention to detail and a team player
  • Degree or post graduate qualified from a top-tier school
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations
Role Specific Technical Competencies
We are looking for an individual with a Can-Do Attitude and who is a Team Player focused on building a value accretive Business for the bank by doing more with our clients while managing risk. Specific skills include:
  • Credit Risk Management
  • Credit Analysis / Quantitative Analysis
  • Good hands on exposure to financial modelling
  • Solution / Deal Structuring
  • Corporate Banking Product Knowledge (in particular Trade financing products)
  • Industry / Business Knowledge
  • Account Strategy and Planning
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products and a good command over English will be required for the role.
