Job PurposeLead a team to handle all admissions matters relating to the NUS Law Faculty\'s graduate and undergraduate degree programmes.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for processing applications to the NUS Law Faculty\'s graduate and undergraduate degree programmes (the \xe2\x80\x9cprogrammes\xe2\x80\x9d). This involves curating and publicising admissions-related information (online and in brochures - with other business units like Comms), verifying applicants\' academic records, reviewing personal statements and references, organizing written tests and interviews, assessing pre-recorded interviews, managing the offer and acceptance process, and recommending excellent applicants for undergraduate and graduate scholarships.
  • Devise, implement, and review and improve strategies (with your team and other business units like Comms) to increase the quality and diversity (in terms of nationality and Singapore educational background) of applicants to the programmes. This may involve, amongst others, publicising the programmes using social media, making overseas trips to partner universities and education fairs to promote the programmes, making outreach trips to different Singapore educational institutions, planning and speaking at events promoting Law programmes, and proposing and implementing special arrangements with premier institutions to encourage their best students to apply for the programmes.
  • Explore and implement IT solutions to increase efficiency of processes.
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedure documents and policies for the team.
  • Managing budgets and resources related to admissions.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Associate Dean.
Requirements
  • Possess a good bachelor\'s degree
  • At least five years of experience in an education environment (higher education environment preferred)
  • At least five years of experience in an education environment (preferably admissions experience)
  • Leadership experience (in any setting), with good problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Meticulous, organised and work well under pressure both independently and as a team player
  • Comfortable handling and analysing large amounts of data
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with social media to engage with international candidates is preferred
  • Quick to learn new IT solutions
