Job Description

Job PurposeWork closely with Dean, Associate Dean (Head of Administration) and the Leadership Team to strategise and implement an integrated communications strategy to position NUS Law and its research centres, as well as build brand awareness and thought leadership.Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic communications and brand management for all units and research centres under NUS Law.
• Shape NUS Law\'s public perception through engaging narrative across various communication platforms such as NUS Law website, mainstream media, digital and social media to achieve effective message delivery and stakeholder reach.
• Strategise and manage the production of collaterals for NUS Law and provide strategic advice on all other above-the-line and below-the-line communications of NUS Law and its research centres.
• Strategise and manage the communications aspects of corporate events relating to NUS Law including NUS Open House and Commencement.
• Provide advice on and manage communication of key events organised by NUS Law research centres including news releases, and train centre managers on basics of communication and brand management.
• Oversee and implement any other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Good university degree in mass communication, journalism or related disciplines.
• At least 10 to 12 years of experience in brand management, public relations, corporate communication, journalism, or related areas.
• Demonstrate experience and skill set in integrated communication.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills, including the ability to put together engaging narrative to build brand and thought leadership.
• Strong visual communication skills.
• Prior experience in a law/professional services firm is an advantage, as is proficiency in web/desktop publishing software.
• Strong proof-reading skills to ensure the quality and accuracy of written content before publication.
• A strong track record in managing and mentoring teams.
• Passionate, energetic and enjoys challenges.
• Results-oriented and excellent people-management skills.
• Able to effectively engage well with internal stakeholders across various levels of corporate structure.
