The Role Responsibilities Summary: This role reports to ASA Regional Head of Financial Institutions Relationship and Risk Management. Key Responsibilities . Act as subject matter expert for Correspondent Banking business and support the ASA Regional Head on matters related to Due diligence, First line Financial Crimes risk management and Regulatory Compliance. . Act as BSA/AML and sanctions expert on different products and services offered by the business with predominant focus in global trade, transaction banking, FX, loans and syndications. o Act as underwriter for AML/Financial Crimes risk during the periodic review and New Onboarding process and ensure timely completion of the periodic reviews. . Work closely with Conduct & Financial Crime Compliance (CFCC) Correspondent Banking FI Due Diligence team team, trade and payment product partners to identify emerging trends and high risk transactions and take appropriate measures to mitigate the transactional risk through effective Client discussion. . Identify emerging risk trends within the portfolio and take appropriate remediation action steps to manage/mitigate the risks including updating senior management and various stake holders through situation update reports. . Proactively monitoring correspondent banking portfolio transaction monitoring reports and dashboards. . Review and prepare monthly MIS and client specific dashboards including KRIs, IAE and SREs. . Act as a key owner of the Regional Correspondent Banking Oversight Group (CBOG) and ensure the Risk papers are adequately prepared and timely submitted to the Committee, further prepare the agenda, meeting pack and meeting minutes of the CBOG and liaise with all the relevant committee members for approvals. . Risk acceptance and / or supporting the Inbound Group Information Certificates (GICs) across inbound clients as the dedicated front-line team providing oversight of financial crime risk. . Support the monitoring of the FI business including risk events to drive a clear understanding and oversight of the non-financial risks for the business, and bank's policies and procedures. . Overseeing and conducting special projects and other duties as assigned. Strategy . Support ASA Regional Head of FI RRM with the development and implementation of the FI RRM strategy for the FI portfolio, specifically in support of the target operating model. Business . This role supports the business by establishing a strong governance framework and control environment within the frontline. Processes . Support the regular review of the processes to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement. . Follow the tone for collaboration across the organisation including, CFCC, CLDM, COBAM, FI Risk and Product partners to constructively challenge and improve processes such that SCB is oriented to effectively acquire and service the FI portfolio. People and Talent . Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance the quality of deliverables. Support team members to ensure on time completion of deliverables. Risk Management . Conduct periodic CDD reviews and effectively implement other AML/FC Risk management controls . Provide first line risk management support to FI Client Coverage teams to risk accept and support the Inbound Group Information Certificates (GICs) across all inbound clients. . Support effective risk oversight and reporting for the portfolio across all relevant Principal Risk Types. . Ensure compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations. Governance . Support the preparation and presentation of papers and reports to senior management and governance bodies across the bank on the relevant industry, client and portfolio issues. Regulatory & Business Conduct . Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. . Group and Country Secretariat teams Other Responsibilities . Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures. Our Ideal candidate : . 5 + years' of experience in Correspondent Banking domain within the Financial Institutions. . Experience with financial crime compliance frameworks/AML environment for FI clients. . Experience in dealing with regulators, auditors, consultants and related independent reviewers. . Strong knowledge of regulations in key jurisdictions with some working knowledge of SCB footprint markets. . Experience in related documentation and agreements associated to FI clients, including Banks clients with a particular focus on correspondent banking. . Core product knowledge across the Bank's offering. . Structured and process driven, with experience in a multi cultural team, across borders and time zones. . Excellent analytics and reporting skills, being able to cross-check the work and manage communications. . Excellent communication/writing skills with ability to get points across to all levels internally & externally. . Ability to work towards tight deadlines and manage expectations. .
