The Role Responsibilities
  • Support stress testing processes to ensure capital levels remain healthy and robust through economic cycles
  • Assess stress impact of critical Capital & Liquidity ratios and calibration of entity Risk Appetite
  • Interpret regulatory capital requirement (MAS 637) to ensure submission compliant
  • Good understanding of balance sheet management and banking products (Retail and Wholesale) to analyse and provide insights of stress outcome
  • Develop an effective challenge process for inputs received from various stakeholders
  • Continue enhance the control environment to maintain robust processes around reconciliation and data quality for completeness and accuracy of reporting
Governance & Risk Management
  • Support Governance Committee preparation (ALCO/RALCO, ERC, BRC, AC, Board, Group committees)
  • Ensure adherence to all internal policies and external regulations and establish a robust governance process to evidence compliance.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk and compliance matters.
Strategic Projects
  • Other critical responsibilities and adhoc deliverables assigned by Finance or Treasury leadership
  • Effective contribution to tactical and strategic projects that may be assigned
Team Engagement & Conduct
  • Contribute to work climate that promotes team engagement, alignment with group/country strategic deliverables and compliance with Group code of conduct
  • Provide an effective oversight over the GFS support team and collaborate with them to make target operating model successful
  • Contribute to an agile and growth mindset within the team
Stakeholder Management
  • Effective collaboration with other teams (e.g. Risk, Finance, Compliance, Treasury) to meet common team objectives
  • Translate complex technical subjects into simple overviews for business and other stakeholder updates
  • Optimal outcomes from regulatory and audit engagements
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the financial services space
  • Experience in balance sheet and capital management. Prior experience in FP&A considered favourably
  • Knowledge on Capital and RWA per MAS rules and Basel standards
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to generate insights from large amounts of data / information
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively and independently under tight deadlines with high attention to detail and accuracy
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Sound judgement is required in identifying implementation and systems issues and suggesting measures to plug them.
  • Judgement and complexity in the job arise when dealing with other stakeholders in the project team. Working with FOT, ITO, GFS and risk functions in a collaborative manner and implementing the appropriate solutions.
  • Judgement & complexity arises in interpretation of regulatory matters and how they translate into a computation, systems and reporting solution.
  • Development of the Capital and liquidity MIS and reporting
  • Development of regional stress testing capabilities
  • Development of recovery and resolution capabilities
  • Overall success of strategic projects or enhancements
