We have one of the largest dedicated team with decades of cumulative experience in sustainable design, fire and life safety, fa\xc3\xa7ade engineering, commissioning, building performance, waste management, environmental consultancy, carbon management and acoustics. : We are looking for an Associate Director Environment with a track record in project management and delivery of environmental consultancy services to major construction projects, to join our thriving business in Singapore. This role will grow and manage AESGs environmental consultancy business in Singapore and the wider South-East Asia (SEA) region, including business development, (new and existing) client management, overseeing project delivery, resourcing management, proposal preparation and submission and managing both the technical and commercial aspects of projects. Key Accountabilities and Activities:

  • Project management of a variety of projects of varying complexity and scale
  • Act as the primary contact for the Singapore business unit and drive forward business development in the sector through existing networks and new relationships, including with regards to writing proposals and participating in conferences and events.
  • Manage both the technical and commercial aspects of projects
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of AESGs environment division, including overseeing project delivery, resource management and proposals
  • Contribution to the continued growth of the environmental division
  • Management of multiple client relationships
  • Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide formal mentorship

Essential Skills:
  • MSc in Environmental Science or Environmental Management or equivalent
  • CEnv is desirable or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years + experience in Singapore/South-East Asia, with a focus on environmental project management and delivery, team building and management, and business development
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in the environmental planning field
  • A specialism, such as in environmental assessment and management, renewable energy, sustainable finance and/or developmental aid projects
  • An experienced project manager and director with a willingness to both lead and contribute to projects
  • Practised in the delivery of environmental consultancy projects to high levels of quality within project deadlines
  • An ability to independently represent the company in client facing role and manage client satisfaction
  • Technical direction on key environmental projects
  • Independently manage complex projects with multifaceted technical scope and stakeholder management both internally and externally (internal technical team, relevant authorities, clients, subconsultants etc)
  • Experience in managing PMC activities at a client / consultant level is desirable
  • Technical expertise and leadership, particularly in environmental management or aligned areas such as waste management, contaminated land, sustainable finance
  • Ability to guide and assist in training and development of junior team members
  • Line management and ensuring continuous technical improvement within the division
