Purpose of the role

This role is within the ESG Finance Department, Asian Investment Banking Division. You will closely work with the APAC Head of ESG Strategy, Products and Operations and drive MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s regional ESG strategy. We are looking for a high performing individual to drive the sustainable financing business and deliver on strategic priorities.

Primary responsibilities

Corporate Communications / PR

Develop and implement a media engagement plan to ensure consistent and highly effective messaging on MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s sustainable financing footprint. This will include closely working with MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Communication team on ESG specific workstreams.

Promote MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s ESG financing capability by developing a regional marketing strategy.

Organize MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability events across APAC and plan our participation in various industry events.

Help in building strong relationship with industry participants and media houses to grow MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s presence in the ESG ecosystem and position it as the leading sustainable finance bank.

Be responsible for all the workstreams related to planning, budgeting and internal approvals for ESG related events.

Training and Business Support

Support the Team Lead to liaison with external organizations for developing a comprehensive training plan for the Executive Leadership and wider MUFG team for capacity building on ESG developments and regulations.

Support in developing internal training materials for ESG knowledge building.

Support business performance reporting, including tracking and reporting on KPIs and financial plans.

Job Requirements

  • Experience as a Public Relations/ Corporate Communications Executive.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in ESG/ Sustainability preferred.
  • Project management experience with ability to provide deliverables within agreed timelines.
  • Stakeholder management skills to successfully collaborate with other departments and team members cohesively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple commitments.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Project Management skills.
