Senior Associate (Structured Finance)

Role: Senior Associate (Structured Finance)

The role will primarily focus on sourcing, structuring, and execution of debt investments across emerging markets (portfolio management). The role will have a global scope and includes significant cross-functional interaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide transaction execution support on mandates across the energy / new energy, renewables, infrastructure & transportation sectors (corporate)
  • Financial modelling, cash-flow analyses and financial projections
  • Due diligence and loan documentation
  • Preparation of credit applications for internal Credit Committee
  • Support all aspects of the administration & execution of transactions from origination to drawdown
  • Assist with the sourcing and origination of new financing opportunities
  • Preparation of proposals and pitch books
  • Assist in secondary debt trades/transfers
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends and portfolio management
  • Management of loan portfolio throughout the life of the transaction
  • Client Onboarding Operation
  • Provides effective guidance for new client onboarding, including KYC
  • Perform deal setup and ongoing deal management in the Bank\'s system with reference to the facility agreement
  • Manage syndication loan administration, drawdown, rollover, rate fixing, fee calculation, payment and document safe-keeping arrangements with other departments
  • Other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in finance, business, engineering or related fields
  • At least 3 years of relevant banking experience in finance, syndication, structured finance, investment or project development in energy and/or infrastructure
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (including ability to build Excel financial models from scratch) with advanced understanding of financial statements
  • Good documentation knowledge and ability to read and interpret credit agreements
  • Positive attitude with good teamwork capabilities and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and fast learner and able to think independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written) and stakeholder management
