Requirements:
THE BRIEF
Have you been feeling burnt out by the daily churn from media activation and you're not getting anywhere in applying your activation knowledge to more strategic inputs? Are you frustrated that you've a ton of ideas to drive innovation and processes but you're not getting heard? Are you passionate about media and want to make a real difference to your clients' business?
If you answered YES to all of the above or even 2 out of the 3, let's chat! We are assembling (pun intended) a team of strong activation and/or planning game-changers who have a burning desire to take things to the next level as an extended arm of the in-house paid media team for Assembly APAC's biggest account. We have to be honest, the work is gruelling and challenging but what you get out of this is the biggest fulfilment of your entire career (at least we hope so). Cherry on top -we work with fantastic collaborative, appreciative clients.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY
Strategy

  • Translation of business and media objectives, marketing plans into effective media approaches in collaboration with client stakeholders.
  • Building strategic communication frameworks to provide planning guidance and direction to all client in-house teams, Assembly APAC activation teams and other external agency teams
  • Providing strategic audience planning inputs and collaborating closely with all client and agency stakeholders to ensure alignment and minimal overlaps between different activities.
  • Deliver creative excellence through best practice education and test & learn frameworks
  • Drive innovation with key vendor relationships, new partnerships and betas
  • Identify integrated opportunities under the guidance of the Strategy Director
  • Creation of channel and platform playbooks
  • Work alongside the Strategy Director to build POVs on emerging trends and best practices.
Operations
  • Proactively initiate operational processes such as campaign processes, naming conventions, tag implementation to empower activation teams to operate in a standardised and aligned manner
  • Creation of templates and guides to support internal and external education on process adoption and best practices
  • Work with activation teams to troubleshoot priority issues
  • Support the in-house paid media team in operational conversations with in-house marketing operations team on technical topics.
Insights
  • Leverage planning and insights tools such as GWI, Statista, SimilarWeb, SEMRush, Google Insights Finder to deliver meaningful and actionable recommendations
  • Providing guidance to junior team members and activation teams on the steps to mining insights strategically

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
  • At least 4 years of experience with mandatory background in client-facing agency roles or digital marketing roles in management consulting.
  • Cross channel knowledge in Programmatic (Display, Video, Mobile, OTT, Audio), Social, Search, Shopping, Affiliates and Marketplaces. Ideally with extensive hands-on activation in at least 3 of the 4 channels
  • In-depth understanding of APAC market landscape and regional nuances
  • Strong quantitative & qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to move between tasks of varying requirements quickly
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively with other functions
  • Able to build and troubleshoot complex Excel formulas
