Be Better, Join the Fastest You will be part of Field engineers are on-site technicians who troubleshoot issues and problems with equipment or systems. They can work in a variety of different sectors depending on the area of engineering they specialize in. This job involves applying theories to address problems, writing reports to outline these issues and solutions, and working with companies to help develop more efficient systems. Field engineers usually work most of their hours on site, so office work is minimal for them. This job is well suited to analytical and critical thinkers who can apply logic and theories to problems, have the patience to find resolutions to complex issues, and have strong communication skills. You will help our customers solve complex problems faster and avoid unplanned downtime while reducing costs and adding value through advocacy, process improvement and communication. Responsibilities

  • Communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 field engineers should be strong communicators who are able to talk with customers and explain complex issues to people with no technical knowledge
  • Diagnostic abilities \xe2\x80\x93 a key aspect of a field engineer\xe2\x80\x99s daily duties is diagnosing problems with existing equipment and finding solutions to them, so great diagnostic abilities are essential
  • Problem-solving skills \xe2\x80\x93 field engineers provide technical support for different projects, including the testing and maintenance of systems, so good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are useful in this role
  • Analytical thinking \xe2\x80\x93 the ability to analyse systems and manage technical tasks is important in this job, and field engineers need the technical and analytical skills to carry these tasks out effectively
  • High Demand \xe2\x80\x93 must be available 24/7 (OT) and perform weekend duty base, should be able to commute to the site area, whenever possible, base on monthly schedule
  • Timely Maintenance \xe2\x80\x93In the telecommunication sector, the Field Engineer has to ensure smooth functioning of communications systems. They are accountable for installing, testing, and maintaining equipment such as installing routers & switches to run wireless networks
  • Work with Other Departments \xe2\x80\x93Field engineering involves working in coordination with the other departments, engineers, and construction personnel when completing maintenance and equipment installations
  • Accountability of assigned task \xe2\x80\x93Field engineer is expected to complete a fix set of tasks weekly, who shall take initiative to report to supervisor on the task status time to time
Requirements
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and good driving record is required (Own Car/Motorbike).
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer, Electronics/Electrical/IT Engineering/Computer Science/Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Positive and willing to learn attitude, coupled with the ability to take initiatives.
  • Relevant years\xe2\x80\x99 of working experience in similar field.
  • A good team player and good communication skills.
