DESIGNATION : Associate, Volunteer & Partnership

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the work of the SG Cares Volunteer Centre @ Serangoon and assist the Manager in fulfilling the center\'s objectives and meeting the targets set by funders and management. The objectives are as follows:
  • Grow and coordinate volunteer supply to the community partners
  • Build volunteer management capabilities of the community partners
  • Broker partnerships between demand and supply organizations at the town-level




The duties of an Associate, Volunteer & Partnership (Volunteer Centre) include: Planning and operations
  • Assist in identifying potential partners and facilitate effective partnerships with all stakeholders in the volunteer ecosystem
  • Understand ground needs and triage the appropriate volunteers to the community and other social service agencies
  • Recruit, train, and deploy volunteers according to the needs of volunteers and community partners
  • Support in developing and strategizing operationalization plans to outreach and engage volunteers and partners
  • Assist in organizing introductory meetings, follow-up meetings, quarterly networking sessions, and annual volunteer appreciation event
  • Attend all inquiries in a timely manner and follow through. e.g. screening, assessment, matching, and follow up
  • Assist in curating and co-organizing volunteer activities with community partners
  • Provide regular check-in with community partners to engage and collect feedback and volunteer data
Administrative work
  • Attend to all administration requirements for the Volunteer Centre, including volunteer data management, and report submissions in a prompt and timely fashion
  • Support necessary evaluation and all critical reporting processes under the Volunteer Centre
  • Collate information and prepare regular newsletters to be disseminated to community partners
Any other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS




  • Degree or Diploma with some experience in community partnerships or volunteer engagement
  • Proficient in Google Workspace - Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Google Drive
  • Proficient in digital skills and publication software (e.g. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Canva, etc) is an added advantage




  • Pleasant, resourceful, proactive, and highly accountable for the work assigned
  • Has an interest/passion for working with partners and new people groups
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and at the same time a team player who is able to work cohesively with colleagues from different levels



OTHER INFORMATION
Location:
  • Ubi Office (but will have to travel mostly around the Serangoon area)
As there may be events and activities held outside of office hours, the staff may have to work on weekday nights and weekends whenever necessary.
