What the role is:The Legal Operations Group (LOG) is seeking an outstanding and driven candidate with a keen interest in the use of data analytics to drive informed decisions and policy-making.What you will be working on:Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in enhancing the current system to collate comprehensive and reliable data across the whole of AGC on its workload, performance measures, and resource allocation and utilisation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor, track and measure the effectiveness of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work with business units to ensure the provision of timely and reliable statistical reports to management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide analytical data support for the preparation of papers and research projects that will enable the organisation to manage or deal with its work more effectively or efficiently. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes across the various divisions, collaborate with business users to extract actionable insights from data and processes and develop data-driven & optimise solutions to meet their needs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage analytical projects in cross functional teams, assisting departments to improve data capabilities through the development of tools/reporting format aligned to their core focus and priorities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage data analysis and visualisation projects and present analytical insights to business users and stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support corporate projects, e.g. Business Process Re-engineering Projects, by contributing to data collection, analysis and simulation models. \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors. The ideal candidate will have the following additional attributes: \xe2\x80\xa2 A good understanding of data governance and the controls meant to address or mitigate risks and enable the adoption of and compliance with various policies and standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in engaging stakeholders within AGC and the government to improve data processes across the data lifecycle. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the development and implementation of strategies, standards, procedures and documentation on data governance, architecture, protection, sharing, and storage, including collaboration with stakeholders to develop and strengthen staff competencies and capabilities in data management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with data request evaluations and processes, including personal data protection impact assessments, data security risk assessments and resolving ad hoc stakeholder queries on data governance issues. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform secretariat support duties for meetings chaired by the Chief Data Officer and assist, as required, in data-related initiatives.What we are looking for:Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Statistics, Business Studies, Operations research/Decision Science, Information Security/Technology, Computer Science, Compliance or related disciplines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in research and statistics-related work, preferably in a data processing role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with handling data (merging data and data transformation), using visualisation tools such as Tableau, and proficiency in the programming languages SQL, Python and/or R are required. Candidates may be asked to complete a test or an assignment as part of our evaluation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity or experience with legal industry processes will be an advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in data governance, personal data protection is a bonus. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work well both independently and as part of a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work with and rally different stakeholders to achieve targeted outcomes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidates who meet the above requirements but do not have relevant work experience are also welcomed to apply Our Commitment to You The AGC offers a salary commensurate with your experience and qualifications, Annual Variable bonuses, performance bonuses and annual increments based on merit.
