Support the Housemistress and Executive Director to deliver holistic programs to students in the =Dreams campus
Actively manage and contribute in the different facets of residence life and student affairs, and ad-hoc residential programs
Assist in the management of the residential school operations and student care management with live in students during the weekdays
To assist in planning, developing and implementing structures and processes for the smooth running of the campus and to ensure that residents adhere to the guidelines and policies of =DREAMS
Assist in enforcing and handling disciplinary matters in the campus
Lead the facilities management of the campus by ensuring proper care, maintenance and repairs are carried out as required by 3rd party contractors
To undertake any other task or duty as assigned by the Housemistress, Executive Director or the board’s appointed representative/s
Primary duties:
To keep respective reports of all programs and activities that are conducted
To maintain accurate and precise records of incidents, events and/or security related activities
To maintain the register of volunteers, coaches and stakeholders that engage the residents.
To generate accurate reports at the required intervals and in a timely manner
To ensure timely reporting to the Board, relevant government agencies and organs of state
To report to the Board and Management on campus matters such as updates on finance, programs, issues of concerns, and make recommendations for improvements
To execute the required acquisition of services in line with financial policies
To ensure a safe and conducive environment for the residents. Overseeing safety, health and environmental issues such as fire safety, fire drills and medical concerns
To develop as well as maintain a strong bond and relationship AMONGST residents
To develop as well as maintain a strong bond and relationship WITH residents in an effort to ensure success of the programs
Managing crisis with regards to: a. Assisting with crisis cases/incidents such as resident distress, residents at risks, diseases epidemics and resident conflicts in the campus
Manage the day-to-day operations of the campus, including responsibility over facility management and logistical matters as well as safety and security matters
Support the total well-being of the boarders in the campus on academic, social, physical and pastoral domains
The assistant housemaster should promote the ethos of the Community and engender the Spirit amongst the residents through the programs
Expectations of Asst Housemaster:
Maintain full-time residence on Campus unless on leave or with approval
Ability to work as a team with the ED, Housemistress and other staff members to maintain the expected standard of residential life in the campus
A high level of honesty, integrity and commitment to make a difference to the life of residents
Good leadership, role model conduct, and the ability to execute duties and responsibilities in a matured, rational, consistent and fair manner
Initiative to familiarize yourself with the various resources available on campus so as to provide the best support to residents
Prompt response to emergencies and crisis cases on campus
Attendance at mandatory residential training workshops, key student activities, management meetings convened by =Dreams, Board of Directors including disciplinary inquiries (as applicable)
