Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and design, build and execute test cases to assure the quality of the application under test
• Collaborate with developers to deploy and test custom solutions in AWS
• Develop and execute various types of tests including functional, system, integration, end-to-end, black box, regression, API and batch testing
• Experience in Web Services (REST) testing
• Experience testing on Big Data platform
• Experience in working with Kafka
• Extensive experience on BDD/TDD testing
• Analyse test results, detect issues and track root causes
• Experience with Agile methodology and the ability to recognize opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement
• Participate in the development of automated reconciliation frameworks and proactively identify and add data reconciliation validation in such frameworks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar work experience
• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or development, technical project experience, testing through a full system development life cycle.
• Experience working on Big Data projects
• 3+ years of experience with Big Data technologies and SQL - Cloudera, Hadoop, Hive)
• Experience with business user acceptance testing.
• programming or scripting skills in Python and SQL is a big plus
• Experience using test management software, JIRA knowledge preferred.
• Good knowledge of SQL and other data retrieval methods.
• Good knowledge of AWS Services, Tools and best practices.
• Good knowledge of Web Technologies (JSON, REST)
• Experience analysing project requirements and ability to create test strategy, test plan and test cases.
• Ability to work independently, and as a team player, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
• Ability to manage multiple projects / tasks simultaneously.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and clearly document issues.
• Must have the ability and desire to quickly learn new skills and technologies.
