Job Description


Business Function

Risk Management Group (RMG) works closely with our business partners to manage the bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

RMG is also responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. The team of Risk Enterprise Architecture & Digital participates in developing innovative digital solutions for Risk Management Group.

Responsibilities

  • Understand how the Banking product source systems works and how is risk-related information captured in the systems.
  • Engage Business, Group technology and operations (T&O) to understand data availability, operational process for capturing of risk information.
  • Understand RMG downstream risk reporting, risk engines and risk analytics requirements with respect to their risk treatment and data requirements related banking products.
  • Define/collate business requirements, prepare functional requirements, write User Stories and initiate User Requests (Request for Service) related to sourcing of risk related information from product source systems to Risk DataMart on behalf of the business and risk management units. Design and model the information that represents risk treatment which RMG downstream risk engines, risk reporting and analytics can use.
  • Plan test scenarios, perform pre-UAT and co-ordinate with end-users to perform UAT.
  • Conduct training for new and existing system related processes and functionality.
  • Maintain business related requirements, data and functional requirements and mapping documentations for Risk DataMart.
  • Perform any other business specific tasks related to project or enhancement related work including requirements and data analysis, user interviews/surveys, system configuration maintenance, preparation of user reports, live verification and project co-ordination and management related work.
  • Work closely with T&O support & delivery teams to ensure that user requirements are delivered successfully.
Requirements
  • Degree in Banking, Commerce or Information Systems-related field with at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis with a combination of business and technical skills and SQL query skills.
  • Experience in credit, liquidity risk related projects or risk data mart projects preferred.
  • Product knowledge and prior experience in Wholesale/Corporate Banking, Loans, Deposits, Trade and Treasury & Markets preferred.
  • Prior experience working in AGILE methodology preferred.
  • Prior experience with Access, Excel.
  • Able to understand and articulate business objectives, risk and dependencies.
