Job Purpose
The individual will provide leadership to the End User Computing capability of Great Eastern. The individual should own the end user experience vision and roadmap and drive for continuous improvements to overall end user computing experience, including enhancement to enterprise solutions like O365, VPN, ServiceNow, etc. This role requires an individual to work closely with other IT leaders and key stakeholders to develop strategies that support the organization\xe2\x80\x99s goals affecting end users. The EUC department provides level-2 support for enterprise solutions utilized by end users.
Additionally, the individual will also provide technological leadership on solutions affecting end user computing experience. The individual can be a solution architect and the subject matter expert to new enterprise technologies to be introduced affecting communications and collaboration and remote access and end-point computing.
The Job
\xc2\xb7 Manage all aspect of end user computing experience, as well as continuously refine the operating model supporting end user computing.
\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement an end-user computing strategy that aligns with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s overall IT Strategy.
\xc2\xb7 Oversee the development and maintenance of end-user computing systems including hardware, software and services
\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with other IT leaders to ensure that end user computing systems integrate with other IT Systems and Infrastructure.
\xc2\xb7 Work with key stakeholders to understand their end-user computing needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
\xc2\xb7 Actively participate on activities which reduce the risk of reoccurring incidents such as problem management forums.
\xc2\xb7 Manage the end-user computing team, providing leadership, direction and coaching to the team members.
\xc2\xb7 Develop and manage the end-user computing budget ensuring resources and allocated appropriately and efficiently
\xc2\xb7 Standby support after office hours for incident response, with activation for major incidents.
\xc2\xb7 Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in end-user computing technology and incorporate them into the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.
Qualifications
Our Requirements
\xc2\xb7 A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
\xc2\xb7 At least 10+ years of relevant experience with end-user computing and managing end-user computing team
\xc2\xb7 Excellent application and IT infrastructure troubleshooting skills using various toolsets. Understanding of system architecture and technology is necessary.
\xc2\xb7 Experience working with multiple teams (business, IT application and infrastructure teams) for incident recovery and preventive measures.
\xc2\xb7 Planning and organisational skills for undertaking team leadership and BAU workload management.
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of end-user computing systems and technologies like Microsoft O365, Active-Directory, email, including hardware and networking.
\xc2\xb7 Self-driven with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills to champion for culture change management initiatives within IT and with interfacing Business stakeholders
\xc2\xb7 Strong and factual communication skills and able to manage situations/conflicts and influence others
\xc2\xb7 Good analytical skills and a creative approach to problem solving and provide options and solutions.
\xc2\xb7 Experience working with multiple internal and external teams (business and IT)
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of various Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management is beneficial
\xc2\xb7 Ability to understand business processes and financial functions are a plus
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of security and compliance requirements are a plus
