Business FunctionGroup Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.ResponsibilitiesThe End User Computing Engineering Lead will lead and manage a team of engineers in the support of desktop and mobile infrastructure, endpoint security, related patching and compliance initiatives. He/she will be responsible to enhance the user journey of the employees who receives the laptop/ desktop/mobile services. The team will be involved in the comprehensive testing of new products and roll-out preparation. This individual will manage a team in support of the administration and support of the solutions.

  • Provides vision for desktop, laptop (including Mac), and printers space, enables innovation and seeks to leverage IT trends and continuous improvements that can create business value consistent with the company\'s requirements and expectations.
  • Responsible for development and managing workstation images and applications packages. Manage fully automated imaging and application delivery solution across entire company.
  • Responsible for successful deployment and upgrades of workstations. This includes security patches, client software, software upgrades, and new software deployments.
  • Provide on-going operations support including operating systems releases, upgrades, service pack installations, bug fixes, security updates and any system change activities.
  • Work with administrator of Active Directory, Group Policies, login scripts, Windows file system security and registry to ensure alignment of workstation standards. Identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise antivirus solutions, endpoint data protection and encryption.
  • Responsible for performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning for end user workstations and printers.
  • Responsible to administer and maintain client desktops, laptops and printers to support application processing requirements. This includes the planning and implementation of an annual desktop refresh program, image management and application standardization and scripting.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate must be a \'hands-on\', well organised, user-journey focused, and self-driven as this is a fast-paced and highly technical environment. Someone wanting to learn and grow with an organisation will thrive in this role. The role requires excellent prioritisation, responsiveness, and customer service, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Requires five or more years of related technical desktop support or IT Service Delivery function; and managerial experience leading infrastructure and helpdesk teams supporting all areas of desktop, laptop, and printers in local and wide area networks and branch locations.
  • Experience with common desktop, mobile and network technologies including Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS, Active Directory, SCCM, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and cloud computing services such as Office 365
  • Experience with conducting research into emerging technologies and applying research to business; skilled in comprehensive testing of new technologies to ensure problem free deployment to users.
  • Strength in PowerShell scripting / automation
  • Enterprise level exposure with application development background Windows patch management procedures experience
  • Experience in Windows 10/11 and Mac OSX
  • Experience in managing/implementation of Microsoft SCCM/InTune preferred
  • Background in software and license management is beneficial
  • Able to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience VBS, Windows Installer experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fiscal matters including budget development, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of program and project management methodologies and tools; track record of success in managing IT projects; effective problem-solving abilities; motivated to develop creative solutions to common processes or problems.
  • Skill to develop project plans, resource requirements and project cost estimates; ability to deliver projects within budget. Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising staff including hiring, performance management, development and counselling.
  • Experience in working in banking environment
  • Possess the verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organisation
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (or similar) OR combination of relevant professional experience and education.
