AVP, Lead Data Analyst - (2200014M)

IT Project Management Office is primarily responsible for setting and maintaining the standards for IT project management throughout our bank with the focus of helping project teams enhance project execution and deliver value to our bank and our customers. Reporting to the Head, IT PMO, the Data Analyst will support the function in the adoption of business intelligence tools/ data analytic tools and uplift the use of data analysis techniques. He/She would advocate and promote a culture of data analysis. Equipped with a strong knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques, he/she will support the function in accelerating the use of data for project portfolio management and decision making. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyse project delivery information, trends, anomalies and behaviours for risk and control management reporting.
• Perform project portfolio analysis in the forms of comprehensive reports and dashboards for reporting to stakeholders and tracking of relevant performance metrics including project financials and capital expenditures.
• Perform comparative analysis to capture trends and behaviours of performance over the years down to project detail level to establish targets to be achieved.
• Work with respective project delivery teams to translate analysis requirements into reports and dashboards.
• Prepare reports related to Project Management, Financials, Service Requests (e.g.: KPI/ Dashboard/Management Reporting)
• Provide training to end users on new reports and dashboards.
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Sciences, Math or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years working experience as a data analyst in a banking or financial services environment.
• Experience/ certifications in the following areas are an added advantage:
  • Project Management Systems, Tools, and Processes and how this are practically used in PMO or Project Environment
  • Business intelligence and analytics delivery via visualisation toolsets such as QlikView, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Data analytics tools such as Python, VBA, R.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Meticulous, analytical and result oriented, with ability to work under pressure.
• Good analytical skills, able to analyse data, identify trends and reporting results.
• Skilled at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
• Energetic, highly organized, assertive with good negotiation and problem-solving skills to deal with situations of differing opinions, and to intervene and escalate when necessary
