Job Summary

Junior transactor supporting the Project Finance team on origination and execution of Project Finance transactions, with specific responsibility for pitches, financial modeling, credit and research work.

Support the Project Finance team with ongoing monitoring of Project Finance loans / exposures, with specific account responsibility for monitoring, credit reviews, ad-hoc reviews, exception/waiver processing and approval as well as internal reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Creation, maintenance, and running sensitivities on detailed financial model in excel for transactions; such model may incorporate macros and require knowledge of visual basic
• Preparation of credit paper for transactions and assist in the internal credit process
• Assist the team in pitching for transactions with preparation of pitch books, presentation materials, term sheets, mandate letters, non-disclosure agreements etc.
• Assist the team in the due diligence activities including selection of independent consultants, preparation of scope of work, appointment, review of the due diligence reports
• Support activities in preparing industry review in geographies and client expansion initiative through identification of key participants
• Review of clients' financial and credit standing as well as quality of project finance loan assets - includes regular and ad-hoc financial and business analysis, credit evaluation and preparation of credit review submissions for project finance loans
• Assist in managing discussions internally with legal / corporate credit group and externally with borrower or external consultants as and when required
• Assist the portfolio manager with monitoring and management of portfolio and ongoing review of the market and tracking of regulator activities in key markets
• Assist on the variations / amendments, including seeking of necessary internal approvals, to approved terms to reach an arrangement that best serve the borrower's requirements and bank's credit and lending policies

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accountancy/ Business Administration/ BSC Quantitative Finance or Engineering
• Some prior experience working in the PF, IBG coverage teams and/or RMG as part of the rotation process would be advantageous along with some exposure in corporate lending, corporate finance and investment banking
• Good financial analytical skills including strong excel skills (including VBA /macro familiarity), with aptitude for number crunching and experience in developing detailed cash flow models
• Resourceful with experience in industry research
• Strong power point skills
