Business Function

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and oversight end to end outsourcing arrangement from operational risk management to operational efficiency to enhance collection performance to effect additional recovery to support delivery of management\xe2\x80\x99s budget.
  • Compliance with Group Policy and Standards, local laws and regulations, control and procedure of the Bank.
  • Adopt a dynamic risk management approach to pro-actively manage the emerging risk in outsourcing arrangement.
  • Drive system / process enhancement to support business strategies, including support ecosystem agenda across the group.
  • Manage the day-to-day outsourcing operations including account assignment, service level performance, account management, customer management working with key stakeholders to ensure robust risk management of outsourcing arrangement.
Responsibilities

(1) Outsourcing Management
  • Manage written-off portfolio and reduce credit loss for the bank.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of outsourcing procedures and methodologies, monitor outsourcing arrangement and manage risks associated with outsourcing.
  • Responsible for ensuring vendor is in compliance with Group Policy and Standards , local laws and regulations , control and procedure of the Bank. Proactively identifies issues and emerging risks, takes swift action to resolve or timely escalate as appropriate.
  • Complete prior and in-depth analysis (risk assessment) for any contemplated outsourcing including a description of services, expected results and a detailed evaluation of the risks for, among other things, financial, operational, legal and reputational risks.
  • Monitor, report and propose changes to outsourcing policy and procedures due to changes in the company\xe2\x80\x99s obligations with main focus on outsourcing guidelines of our regulator.
  • Conduct, as needed, on-site audits, yearly site visit, BCP execution and follow through issues ( if any ) with action plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor SLA reviews, contract review with Contract Management Team, conduct Monthly Service Review Meeting including timely completion for document and deliverables as required by Outsourcing Governance Committee.
  • Design and analyse KPIs in line with our outsourcing strategy in order to drive continuous improvement & increase on SLA performance of each outsource services provider to deliver Collection target.
  • Provide support on operational task such as preparation of letters, account assignment reviews, processing of invoices.
  • Leverage on data & analysis to provide contextualised insights, to improve operational efficiency, enhancing performance and improving processes. Drive continuous improvements and achieve best practices, i.e using Agile Methodology, digital innovation, automation and proactively work toward risk mitigation.
(2) Customer Management
  • Deliver excellent quality service to customers to achieve total customer satisfaction.
  • Resolving Customer complaints and queries pertaining to areas under his/her responsibility within stipulated timeframe.
  • Manage Review repayment proposals from agencies or customers.
  • Review for appropriate remedial actions, including legal actions, bankruptcy & etc.
Requirements

(1) Non-Technical Experience
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organize with good communication skills.
  • Stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Prepared to commit for long term- We are developing for individual for long term.
(2) Technical Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in banking collection or bad debt recovery.
  • Experience in outsourcing operation and vendor risk management.
  • Effective quantitative, analytical and interpretive skill.
  • Experience in management projects / change management in related domain will be added advantage.
(3) Education / Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma/ University Degree in related field or a combination of education and equivalent industry-related experience.
(4) Work Relationship
  • Display a high degree of team spirit and professionalism, and able to co-operate in a harmonious and productive manner with superiors, peers, subordinates, internal customers and external service providers to achieve Team\xe2\x80\x99s goals and performance targets.
