About the Department

Credit Review (Commercial and Corporate Banking) is responsible for conducting a detailed credit analysis based on information furnished by the borrower, publicly available information, the lender\'s evaluation of the borrower\'s credit needs, and the ability to pay across a range of products against credit standards set by the organization.

Corporate & Commercial Banking covers activities related to providing banking loan products and advice to institutions ranging from small to mid-sized businesses, to the largest corporations. Includes major market middle market corporate banking, business banking, and corporate and transaction banking. Corporate Banking covers activities related to the development, origination, and management of banking loan products, advice, and trade financing for major market corporate clients, including large local companies, financial institutions, and multinationals. Corporate banking generally refers to clients in excess of a given annual revenue.

Job Responsibilities

The Credit Analyst has a key role to perform credit, business and financial analysis, and structuring for Banks and Non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs).

Key responsibilities are:

• To prepare credit applications, proposals and conduct annual reviews for Banks and Non-bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) counterparties.
• Be responsible for managing the credit risks associated with the banks and NBFI counterparties under their coverage portfolio.
• Evaluate the overall credit worthiness of the counterparty and the ability to meet credit obligations for traditional credit-based products as well as a variety of structured banking transactions, traded products and underwriting activities.
• Review proposed credit limits and transaction against credit standards and monitor credit exposure to ensure adherence to the bank\'s credit appetite and policies.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in independently conducting credit and financial analysis for institutional clients (additional experience in FI will be an advantage) preferably with a banks, NBFIs or credit rating agency.
• Ability to work independently and as a team to deliver outcome of consistent good quality within stipulated timeline in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
