About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and maintaining cordial relationship between Business units, Borrowers and Finance Parties as well as handling enquiries/requests
Support syndication / club deals where the Bank is acting in the capacity of Facility Agent &/or Security Agent
Review and provide comments on Syndication Loan Agreements, Agency Agreements, Security & Finance Documents to ensure compliance with Credit & Legal policies & guidelines, and ensure incorporation of Standard Clauses duly cleared by Group Legal & External Legal as a measure of control on Facility Documentation
Ensure the required security covenants are provided such as insurances, valuation reports are in place throughout the deal lifecycle
Ensure the monitoring of Financial Covenants and Project covenants are properly managed and complied
Processing day to day transaction of syndication loan administration (i.e. drawdown, rollover, rate fixing, billing, repayment, prepayment, fee calculation, and proper document lodgment of documents
Liaise with Legal Counsels, Finance Parties and Borrower for deal closing and monitoring of condition precedents and/or condition subsequent
Review Syndication Loan Agreements, Agency Agreements, Security & Finance Documents to ensure feasibility, appropriateness and operational practicality of clauses in relation to roles, responsibilities and duties of Facility Agent &/or Security Agent &/or Issuing and Paying Agent
Review Syndicate Legal Counsel confirmation of compliance of Conditions Precedents prior to disbursement of Syndication Loans
Coordinate instructions from Syndicate Legal Counsel to the Finance Parties on the disbursement of Syndication Loans
Perform agency administration of Syndicate Borrowers undertakings
Ensure filing of relevant MAS returns within the stipulated timeframe
Monitoring and ensuring Project Accounts transactions are done in adherence of the Housing Developers (Project Account) Rules (HDPAR)
Co-ordinate / Participate in projects in the department as and when applicable
Provide guidance, training and knowledge sharing as and when applicable
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in related discipline
At least 5 years’ experience in lending, credit operations and syndication operations, and possesses areas of expertise in wholesale credit lending and operations, syndication loans & agency functions, residual credit and operational risk management, regulatory and legal compliance.
Possess good functional and technical expertise required to perform core aspects of the job, including sound knowledge of credit lending, syndication financing, debt restructuring, credit and operational risk, regulations and legal guidelines
Proven track record in managing a sizeable operation team with strong exposure to corporate credits, bilateral and syndicated loans, residual credit & operational risk management and knowledge of relevant application systems.
Well-developed leadership, communication, interpersonal and organization skills
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and to work under challenging and demanding circumstances to meet deadlines.
