IIX\'s Portfolio Management team manages the IIX Growth Fund (IGF), the IGF Loan Facility (ILF), and the IIX Women\'s Catalyst Fund (WCF) as well IIX\'s direct investments in high impact enterprises. The IGF is a for-profit venture capital portfolio invested in lmpact Enterprises bringing inclusive growth to South and Southeast Asia. Investing across multiple sectors and countries in the region, the IGF targets market level financial returns together with high positive social impact. The ILF makes loans to Impact Enterprises in Southeast Asia with a focus on empowering women. And the WCF pools concessional capital from governmental and philanthropic funders to catalyse investement into organisations benefitting women, girls and gender minorities across the world, primarily through catalytic subordinated debt investments that support IIX\'s Women\'s Livelihood Bond Series.

Duties and Responsibilities:

IGF is seeking a AVP/VP of Portfolio Management to work directly with the Senior Management across the range of IIX\'s portfolio management activities. The candidate will, under the guidance of the Senior Director of the Portfolio Management team, be responsible for implementing the investment strategies of IIX\'s various portfolios. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of IIX\'s portfolio management activities, including fundraising, pipeline development and deal sourcing in target markets, structuring investment financing and actively monitoring investments from funding through to exit.

The main responsibilities of the candidate will include the following:

1. Periodically refining and implementing investment policies and procedures

2. Conducting market and industry research and outreach to identify investment opportunities

3. Evaluating and conducting due diligence of investment opportunities;

4. Overseeing the active management of portfolio companies - including on-going monitoring of portfolio companies, preparing periodic reports covering operational, financial, and impact performance, and development and implementation of strategic initiatives (including follow-on debt and equity raises);

5. Communicating investment performance and strategies to stakeholders

6. Building and managing relationships with portfolio companies, stakeholders, and other partners

7. Mentoring and leading a small team of portfolio managers and investment professionals

8. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

Location: Preference will be given to candidates who are or can be based in Singapore. Candidates based in the key markets in which IIX invests will also be considered.

Qualifications:

• Full professional proficiency in English;

• Advanced Degree - MBA and/or masters in related field preferred

• At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of investment experience

o Those with at least 5 years of experience in fund management will be preferred

• Good understanding of - and passion for - the field of impact investing;

• Demonstrable track record in interacting directly and independently with the founders and senior management of potential investees and other stakeholders;

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues from various cultural backgrounds; and great team player;

• Ability to act independently and exercise sound judgment;

• Strong Powerpoint skills, financial, accounting and Excel skills, experience building financial models & DCF models;

• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment;

• Have worked or studied overseas will be an advantage.
