Job Description
A top international banking client is looking to hire an AVP/VP level professional for their Wealth Management COO division which covers both Retail and Private Banking.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and assess the impact to the business and its operations in terms of regulatory guidelines and bank policies to ensure adherence with compliance
- Participate in regulatory, compliance and governance reviews to serve as an SME representing WM for both Retail and Private segments
- Communicate regulations, policies and procedures effectively to all relevant stakeholders and prepare/conduct training for first line business units
- Aid in the development of risk profile for WM
- Identify new, thematic and developing risks or gaps
- Participate in audits relevant to WM and its operations
- Track and oversee reporting of incidents or breaches from a regulatory perspective including investigation and reporting, RCA, drafting of regulatory letter to MAS on incident reporting, etc.
- Maintain governance and oversight on WM change and delivery across Operations in both segments
- Participate in implementation of change projects and processes as required
- Over 5 years of experience across the banking industry
- Strong foundation across WM products in Retail/Private banking offering
- Relevant experience across governance/control/oversight/COO functions
- Experience in implementing regulations and policies
- Project or change involvement would be beneficial
