You will lead the development of our backend going forward.

• Design and develop RESTful services that will be consumed by various frontends.
• Design, write and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code.
• Implement meaningful automated tests and drive best coding practices.
• Be involved in every stage of development life cycle from concept stage to delivery.
• Work with the product manager, UI/UX designer, and front-end developers to drive the product forward.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate can write clean code and get things done. Can solve problems and propose architectural solutions.

• Strong Java developer. Golang experience is a plus.
• Deep knowledge in architectures based on microservices and design of RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (we use MySQL).
• Solid knowledge in GIT and CI tools (we use Bitbucket and Jenkins).

OTHER INFORMATION
The digital team is building products for our members: Plus! mobile app, website https://plus.com.sg/ and is also working on enabling marketing technology to communicate with our members via EDMs, push-notifications and social-media ads.
Loyalty programs are the hottest topic in retail right now, and the future of loyalty is digital. We are building up an internal development team to take our products to the next level and make the majority of member interactions digital. You will be a part of a small team with a clear vision and ability to move fast and execute.
