Description
Our client is a global food ingredients company and is hiring for a Bakery Application Scientist for their R&D Centre in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the R&D Lead for Asia Pacific, you will develop a diverse range of commercially viable food applications in bakery and snacks application using the company\'s nutritional ingredients portfolio. In addition, you will provide technical support to the sales team for customer visits, conducting pilot and commercial trials and troubleshooting production issues. This role also involves researching and analysing scientific publications and translating the knowledge to continuously improve product formulation, stability and processing methods.
Requirements
You have a Bachelor\'s degree in Food Science, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in bakery, snacks and confectionary application. To be successful in this role, you are technically competent, self- motivated, can work independently with a growth mindset. Knowledge and prior experience in ingredients and processing equipment will be highly regarded. You should also be willing to travel.
