About the Team PwC SEAC’s Consulting practice provides a combination of business and technology advice from strategy to execution and helps solve our clients’ most complex business challenges. The Finance Go-To-Market supports our insurance clients in their Finance Transformation journey to build high performing finance functions to release time and people from transactional work to perform value adding activities whilst maintaining an optimised control environment. Our focus areas are Finance Vision & Strategy, Finance Transformation within the FS industry, including banking, asset management and beyond, and Enterprise Performance Management. About the Role Contribute to our growing insurance market offering across South-East Asia through the application of your accounting expertise and managerial skills.

• Develop business relationship and trust with our existing/potential banking clients
• Expand PwC’s banking network within and outside finance
• Offer advisory service to our banking clients across various initiatives within Finance, such as Foreign Exchange Operations, Risk-weighted assets, Process Streamlining, System Adoption/Optimisation/Implementation, Profitability & Cost Management, Management Information and Performance Assessment, etc
• Lead a team of accounting/non-accounting juniors to drive banking finance transformation projects which help address our banking clients’ evolving needs in the finance function along the dimensions of insight, efficiency and effectiveness, and control
• Support the implementation of relevant technology platforms in the finance function from a functional standpoint such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders (internal and external)
• Apply judgement, initiative and lateral thinking to problem-solving

About you You are likely to be a Finance professional with the following key attributes:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance related discipline from a reputable University, with strong skills and experience in finance processes within the banking industry
• Chartered accountant (CA)
• Understanding of Basel reporting is advantageous
• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with various project stakeholders
• Experience in the Banking Industry
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience including Consulting (Finance) background with demonstrated skills in managing projects and communicating effectively with banking clients and teams; or otherwise with industry experience in the finance function
• Possess the can-do attitude and keen to learn
• A good understanding of :-
  • Banking finance operations, functional operating model and the linkages across the functions
  • Core banking operations and how that impacts finance and organisation as a whole, e.g. trade finance, credit card, loan issuing, investment analysis and retail/wholesale banking business and their product offering
  • IFRS 9 financial instruments
• Experience with working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Performance Management or other cloud-based platforms / technologies
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of senior executive level engagement
