The Banquet Manager oversees all banquet functions to ensure smooth operations, excellent guest experience, and efficient staff coordination. This role involves managing event setups, service execution, and post-event evaluations, while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and supervise all banquet events, including weddings, conferences, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
Coordinate with clients, event planners, kitchen, and service teams to ensure event requirements are met.
Conduct pre-event briefings and ensure staff are properly trained and assigned.
Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms according to event orders.
Monitor food and beverage service to maintain high standards of presentation and quality.
Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally.
Work closely with the culinary and stewarding teams to ensure smooth food service flow.
Manage banquet inventory, including equipment, linen, and supplies.
Prepare post-event reports, including guest feedback and revenue summaries.
Schedule and supervise banquet staff, ensuring optimal manpower coverage.
Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Support recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of banquet staff.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banquet or event operations, preferably in a hotel or large-scale F&B environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management systems (e.g. Delphi, Opera).
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
