Job Description

We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea (if any).





Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should also be able to work various shifts. Note: this position's compensation includes salary and tips.


Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.





Additionally, willing to learn simple / basic florist scope of area.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders accurately (eg. preferences of coffee blend), ensuring a smooth management of traffic, and ensuring all items are served promptly. Take initiative to learn about the different coffee and tea types, and to educate customers about their options. Prepare beverages following recipes Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Maintain a clean and organized store environment including cleaning and sanitizing equipment daily. Manage and maintain pantry stocks (eg. paper cups and takeaway bags, coffee beans, milk etc) to ensure a continuous supply of materials Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs Comply with health and safety regulations Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items Assist with opening and closing procedures, as needed Any other ad-hoc tasks as required. Requirements and skills

Minimum 1 year experience as barista is essential Hands-on experience with brewing equipment Knowledge of sanitation regulations Flexibility to work various shifts and Ability to work flexible hours Ability to gauge customers' preferences Excellent communication skills Relevant training is a plus


Salary: $2200 - $2400 depending on experience. Working location will be in the West. Full time/Part time available. Please indicate your preference.
