Job Description


The responsibilities of the Barista Supervisor is to:

  • Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and the company's assets.
  • Manage shifts while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning quality and service.
  • Ensure positive guest service in all areas.
  • Possess barista experience and provide barista training to staff.
  • Manage daily operations of the outlet and maintains quality standard of services, formulates standard operating procedures and training manuals.
  • Perform daily inventory check to ensure maintenance of stocks.
  • Correct any operational inconsistency, orders and maintains acceptable par stock level.

To achieve the above, the daily roles that the Barista Supervisor need to perform will include:
  • Apply basic negotiation skills and techniques
  • Coach the team for service performance
  • Conduct orientation and training
  • Coordinate food and beverage service
  • Develop a work team
  • Execute crisis management plan
  • Implement site/outlet and equipment maintenance plans

  • Manage productivity improvement
  • Manage quality system and processes
  • Manage service performance
  • Manage workplace safety and health system
  • Prepare and serve hot beverages
  • Provide quality control for service
  • Provide speciality coffee service
  • Solve problems and make decisions at managerial level
  • Supervise bar service
  • Supervise, motivate and empower staff
