What will you be doing?


Due to the continued growth of the business, we are seeking an outstanding talent who is smart, positive, enthusiastic and driven to join our business development team in Singapore.

Reporting to the SVP, Asia Strategy and Business Development, you will promote indexation to Argus assessments and the use of Argus services. The role will collaborate closely with colleagues in related markets across our global locations, and partner with the editorial and consulting teams to drive product development and deliver campaigns around key market opportunities. The primary goal is to increase indexation to Argus assessments in LNG and to support our successful coal market benchmarks.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience in LNG markets and a network of contacts in the industry. You will have a proven track record of delivering commercial success, ideally with data services or consulting business models, although that is not a requirement.

Your day-to-day duties includes:
  • Develop and deliver a global business development plan to meet sector strategy.
  • Identify new indexation opportunities, galvanize organization to deliver them
  • Drive usage of Argus price assessments and products.
  • Demonstrate expertise on pricing and risk management issues.
  • Identify and support delivery of new pricing solutions and products – acting as the voice of the customer.
  • Lead market engagement, mapping key influencers and maintaining effective relationships with them
  • Represent Argus in the market through external speaking events and thought leadership
  • Partner with sales through identifying customer segments and supporting effective commercialization
  • Hone effective messaging to promote Argus index solutions. Work with marketing to develop GTM plans
  • Identify opportunities to develop online transparency solutions, including, but not limited to, AOM.
  • Identify and develop partnership opportunities to meet sector strategy

What we’re looking for in you:


  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop and maintain long-term client relationships; as well as build credibility and engagement with industry stakeholders and government.
  • Experience promoting market data or business analytics services in energy or LNG-related industries.
  • Commercial experience – ideally someone with a senior commercial role in LNG, and proven record in influencing and negotiating with Asian firms.
  • International - experience of the challenges of working in various cultures across Asia, experience of working within a dispersed global organization away from Head Office would also be useful.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and commercial benefits
  • Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view.
  • Able to work independently but knowing how and when to involve others.
  • Able to work independently, whilst also engaging and collaborating in line with the Argus values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Results
