What will you be doing?

The world is talking about Hydrogen and Future Fuels, moving to a low-carbon, and ultimately zero-carbon future. Do you thrive on accelerating the transition to a low carbon economy and helping organisations navigate the challenges and unlock the opportunities?

This role puts you up front and centre as the globe moves towards a new energy transition economy. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of our global footprint within this space, you will be able to leverage off Argus’ global knowledge and expertise, giving you the opportunity to steering the clean fuel project portfolio, navigating the challenges and opportunities in the emerging net zero economy. With a strong pipeline of hydrogen related projects across the Asia and Middle East regions, this role presents a remarkable opportunity for you to grow an energy transition business for Argus and to make a significant impact on a sustainable and greener future.

  • Initiate, develop and enhance comprehensive Energy Transition tools, analytics and insights such as outlook reports, white papers, bespoke consulting projects to support our client in making business decisions related to the company's hydrogen strategy and aligning those activities with business priorities.
  • Develop high-level policy, programme and economic advice for clients.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with international clients and establish relationships with governments, primary producers and the financial sector. This involves one-on-one client meetings and requires regional or international travel.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers to develop positive future business development opportunities.
  • Track and manage projects and deliverables within the region. Lead project opportunities from inception through delivery. Take responsibility for the proposal process, working closely with Commercial and other stakeholders to deliver winning proposals.
  • Manage junior consultant(s), taking accountability for their development and overall contribution to the business.


What we’re looking for in you


  • Degree in Energy Economics or relevant engineering discipline, such as: Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental. A post graduate degree (Masters or PhD) would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to manage large projects from proposals and RFP (Request for Proposals), to leading a team of consultants through project execution as well as manage client’s expectations on project deliverables.
  • A strong, demonstrable interest in the energy transition and an understanding of renewable energy systems, net-zero emission targets, energy regulation, economics and technology would be viewed favourably.
  • Executing projects in the renewables, hydrogen, and other energy sectors is your passion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • A strong work ethic and a "can do" spirit, as evidenced by pro-actively initiating and leading initiatives and projects to successful outcomes.
  • Proven track record in producing high-quality reports and whitepapers, journal publications would be advantageous.
  • Able to work independently, whilst also engaging and collaborating in line with the Argus values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Results

Travel
  • Cover client meetings, conferences and events (5-15% of overseas travel is expected).


Hours

Monday through Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Earlier or later hours, or weekend hours, may be expected on occasion.
