A Bell Captain with Conrad Hotels and Resorts welcomes Guests, assists with arrival and departure procedures, offers current information to Guests as requested and escorts Guests and messages for Guests to and from Guest rooms and other hotel areas.

What will I be doing?

As a Bell Captain, you will be responsible for the delivery of excellent personal service; providing and maintaining the highest standard of courtesy, hospitality, warmth and friendliness. You will serve on the Guest Services team to meet Guest needs upon arrival and departure and to provide a comfortable stay for Guests by accommodating requests for information and assistance throughout the hotel. A Bell Captain will complete the following tasks:

  • Supervise and participate in the activities of the Bell Service Desk and to ensure the smooth and orderly running of the Department
  • Ensure that the main entrance glass door is opened for all guests entering and leaving the main lobby
  • Welcome Guests on arrival and assist them during their stay
  • Maintain current information on all hotel services as well as external locations, attractions, and landmarks in the hotel vicinity
  • Provide support to the Concierge as required in cases of emergency
  • Provide support at the reception area when there is a queue at the Front Desk
  • Organize and supervise all baggage handling and safeguarding of baggage from time of arrival till delivery to room and from room to the time of departure
  • Monitor baggage records, baggage storage, checked items, damaged baggage and lost baggage in transit
  • Responsible for the proper control and security of all baggage storerooms keys to the storerooms and cleanliness
  • Handle and behave himself / herself in a way that sets an exemplary standard to his / her subordinates, that is in keeping with the hotel standards
  • Planning and administrating weekly staff roster to ensure sufficient staff based on forecast, instructed by his / her managers
  • Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and Guest service

  • Previous experience working within the hotel, leisure, and/or retail sector
  • Able to handle heavy load of 30kg baggage and/or parcel
  • Excellent personal presentation
