About the Big Data Engineer Role:
This is a leading multinational organisation with strong presence across APAC. They are looking to hire a Big Data Engineer to work with technical teams to understand requirements and optimise data pipeline performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and implementing end-to-end data solutions for customers
- Working with technical teams to understand requirements and optimise data pipeline performance
- Providing technical guidance to internal teams on big date technologies and tools
- Helping the team on coding and building solutions
- Providing regular updates to project managers and clients on the project progress
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent
- Prior experience in working on data and analytics projects
- Hands-on experience in Python and SQL
- Experience in Spark/PySpark
- Experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Clodera/Hortworks and Hbase
- Experience in data storage and processing
- Prior big data certifications is good to have
