Our client is amongst the first movers of cloud-based virtual assistant technology. They are looking for a talented technology lawyer to help support the organisation's fast growing business in India, Singapore and Southeast Asia. The role will support both the virtual assistant technology team and our client's education initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

• You will counsel the business on a broad range of commercial, licensing, technology, and regulatory matters.
• You will provide day-to-day input on an array of business and legal questions, working with the business to address complicated policy questions, comply with regulatory obligations, and resolve issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.
• You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
• You will collaborate with attorneys around the globe to support pioneering business initiatives and work on a broad range of technology-related issues including privacy, data protection and content moderation.

Candidate requirements

• At least 3 years' and no more than 6.5 years' PQE (post-qualifying experience), with top law firm experience preferred.
• Admitted to practice law in India, Singapore, the United Kingdom or the United States (or equivalent).
• Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) or equivalent from a reputable university.
• Transactional M&A experience is a good to have.
• Familiarity working with India based clients preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
