Why do cancer treatments work in some patients, but not in others? How can we use genomics data to discover new drug targets? We seek an energetic and team-oriented Data Scientist with expertise in software development (especially web-based data visualisation) to join a multi-disciplinary effort to discover new biomarkers and targets of cancer therapy.
Our laboratory uses joint experimental and computational approaches to decipher tumour biology (www.skandlab.org ). In the concrete project, the candidate will develop new data- driven approaches and visualisations to discover biomarkers and targets related to cancer therapy. The project will leverage large public cancer genomics datasets as well as deep genomic, molecular, and medical data from ongoing local clinical trials.
We are located in the Genome Institute of Singapore, an international research environment set in the biomedical Biopolis campus. Inter-institutional collaborations are accessible and encouraged. Singapore itself is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city, ideal for work, family, and leisure.
