In Data, we collect, analyze, process and publish the data which is the backbone of our iconic Bloomberg Terminal - the facts and figures which ultimately move the financial markets. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiency, and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes, and all this while providing platinum customer support to our clients.

The Team:
The Company Financials Data teams are responsible for managing companies actual data and estimate consensus data for key performance indicators and critical financial metrics for global companies. This is done by aggregating, normalizing and standardizing data from sources including exchanges and financial firms in order to ensure data is delivered timely, accurately and comprehensively, which fuels the Bloomberg Terminal, API and Enterprise. This includes but not limited to: Financial Analysis (FA), Models (MODL), Estimates (EEO), Analyst Recommendations (ANR), and all company financials data which feeds downstream into other applications.

The Role:
The Company Financials Implementation team within the Companies Data organization is looking for technical implementation specialists who can combine deep subject matter expertise and advanced technical skills, as well as good communication and stakeholder management skills, to help shape and build company analysis products. You will be partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams as well as other Company Financials market and industry teams, where you are expected to take advantage data management knowledge with state-of-art technology to deliver best-in-class tools and workflows in order to meet the needs of our internal and external clients.

We\'ll trust you to:

  • Understand business challenges and identify data management opportunities within different markets and industries
  • Engage with Company Financials Business and Data Product Managers to scale, prioritize and plan in the global product landscape
  • Collaborate closely with different engineering teams on proposals, best practices, technical details and business logic
  • Leverage technical knowledge and skills to prototype and implement high-standard solutions while partnering with engineering teams
  • Conduct User-acceptance testing, unit-testing, regression or integration testing and provide timely feedback
  • Prepare documentation and materials for continuous maintenance or troubleshooting together with market and industry data experts
  • Keep up-to-date the latest technology stack in Company Financials systems and technology for data management in general
  • Effectively communicate and showcase progresses with stakeholders around the globe throughout the development lifecycle
  • Comfortable with discussing with external providers or users on Company Financials dataset\'s needs or unique selling points
You\'ll need to have:
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in the Financial Services Industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions
  • Demonstrated experience in Company Financials data, including Company Disclosed or Broker Disclosed data suites
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more tools or object-oriented programming languages such as one of the following: Python, Excel, SQL, VBA, MATLAB
  • Passion and interest for using technology to innovate data products and processes and explore unknown territories
  • Demonstrated ability to take a logical approach and apply critical thinking skills in order to solve problems
  • Proven ability to manage timeline, handle pressure, overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort with a high degree of autonomy, and shown ability in managing priorities from multiple internal and external partners
  • Ability to work independently & in a team environment under deadlines, demonstrating self-motivation
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English
We\'d love to see:
  • Demonstrated familiarity with different databases, schemas, structured and unstructured formats (PDF, HTML, XBRL, JSON etc.)
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of acquisition, transformation, enrichment, validation and publishing pipelines
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with Product/Engineering or cross-team project management experience
