Your Role

An Application Support Engineer is an IT professional who provides technical support regarding a spectrum of software used within a specific business sector. Application Support Engineers are responsible for database management, while others put more emphasis on the programming end of an application.

What Will You Do

• Support Business Manager, Team Lead and sales team in various activities to ensure timely delivery/closure on business critical issues according to customer expectation.
• Level 1 and 2 support on software functionality and IT related issue
• Writing of Software/business Requirements Specifications/ Cases/user manual, test cases and test plan documents
• Perform SIT/QA/UAT testing
• Setup/create test data for users to do UAT
• Service request fulfilment
• Create and maintain support tickets
• Handle application query, issue and service request
• Support with system testing and deployment
• Assist with the goal of meeting performance and usage requirements
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, bug fixes and provide solutions
• Monitor the systems to ensure availability to users in a secure and controlled manner
• Conduct system backups, optimization, initiation of recovery procedures

What Do We Want

• Diploma in Computing, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Equivalent
• At least 2 years software support application
• Ability to write Software/business Requirements Specifications
• Ability to write Use Cases/user manual, test cases and test plan documents
• Ability to investigate issues reported, reproduce issue and determine cause
