Job Description


The business analyst role utilises core analytical skills to ensure continuous improvement of the quality of our software products. This is a multi-skilled role which allows for flexibility of tasks and quick response to the business needs. Individuals will be required to work closely with all teams and external clients at every stage of the development life cycle, utilising a behavioural driven mentality to ensure business and system requirements are met early and to a high quality.

Your Responsibilities:

1) Utilise modern and traditional techniques to analyse business and system requirements and refine into more detailed requirements (user stories/ product backlog items, functional specifications) suitable for the Product and Delivery teams to progress software development. 2) Work with sales to support a presales and post sales checklist to capture key questions to be asked. This should ensure a more professional approach and reduce risk of unforeseen issues coming up later in the project. 3) Assist the Product Owner(s) with analysing business requirements and systems. 4) Understand the existing Crealogix products and systems to be able to assess risk and impact of new changes. 5) Work closely with the Product Owner(s), Project Manager(s) and Project team(s) to design new products. 6) Gain an understanding for the competitive landscape and our competitive position within it. 7) Utilise analyst skills to be able to enhance acceptance criteria within user stories/product backlog items by collaborating with other team members and other project members. Promote a “test early” mentality. 8) Assist the Project Manager and client to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful promotion of new versions, fixes and enhancements through to staging environments and into Production. 9) Assist the Head of Delivery in understanding current work streams and be able to estimate upcoming work. 10) Actively contribute to the analysis process evolution and improvement by suggesting positive and innovative change and following this through to completion. 11) Create and maintain a set of standards that others in the delivery team could follow when creating user stories and wireframes. 12) Evaluate new and different techniques, technologies and processes to make appropriate recommendations. 13) Work closely with other teams to promote multi-skilling and cross communication.

Your Background:

  • experience in a customer-facing software (integration) project management role
  • Banking / financial services knowledge and background
