About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated

Business Analyst Intern

with strong analytical and technical skills to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology by building AI-driven solutions and managing financial datasets to support strategic investment decisions.


As part of our Data team, you will gain hands-on experience in applying data, SQL, and AI modeling techniques to real-world financial problems, while deepening your understanding of the financial world.

Key Responsibilities

AI Model Development -

Assist in developing and testing AI/ML models to enhance investment analysis and financial decision-making. Support backtesting and validation of predictive models for portfolio management and risk assessment.

Database Management & Analytics -

Work with

AWS databases

to manage, clean, and query large financial datasets. Optimize database queries to ensure efficiency in extracting and processing data. Support integration of financial data into dashboards and reporting tools.

Financial Research & Insights -

Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Collaboration -

Work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and technology teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions. Contribute to ongoing projects and propose innovative ideas that leverage AI and automation in finance.

Requirements

Penultimate year

and currently pursuing a

Bachelor's or Master's degree

in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Knowledge of

SQL

(database querying and management). Familiarity with

Python

for data analysis and AI/ML model development. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Interest in financial markets, asset management, and technology-driven innovation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

(Good to have)

Experienced with

Pandas

and

NumPy

for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with

machine learning and deep learning concepts.

Understanding of

financial instruments and asset management concepts

. Exposure to

data visualization tools

(e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Python libraries like Matplotlib/Seaborn).
