Who we are looking for
Reporting to the SVP, Head of Singapore and Southeast Asia, the candidate will support regional business strategy matters, legal entity governance and administration across the region.
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating across business units, managing legal entity and local bank governance requirements, and coordinating corporate policy implementation as required across the SEA region. The candidate will also be responsible for initiating and managing special projects as needed to support the SEA businesses.
What you will be responsible for
As a Business and Legal Entity Governance, Vice President (VP), SEA, you will:
Legal Entity Governance
Leading SG Governance team and responsible for Legal Entity Governance across SEA entities (and business units) including:
Adherence with SS Legal Entity Governance Standards and other corporate global policies and procedures
Implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the business as required by local, and affiliate offices, regulatory requirements, for example MAS Outsourcing Guidelines, MAS regulatory reporting etc
Lead/participate in local and regional governance committees
Lead/participate in relevant audit (internal and external) engagements and liaison
Enabling close coordination with 2nd Line of Defense functions in the region.
Overseeing Corporate Secretarial liaison and coordination between external corporate secretary and internal State Street functions.
Work with, and support, Business Risk Management (BRM) team regionally
Act is Business Continuity Director for Southeast Asia
Office Administration and other matters including:
Supervising the Office Administration team supporting SEA entities, which is responsible for:
Provide admin support for general office matters, eg managing security access, office archiving, managing name card and stationery acquisitions, supporting office wide events, hybrid working coordination etc
Supporting administrative requirements for new joiners and leavers
Coordinating SEA wide communications relating to administrative matters
Establish and maintain new hire initiation program for SEA
Business Management
Coordinate and manage the reporting and tracking of key business metrics across all business lines in SEA and other staff areas as well as the development and distribution of strategic planning documents and global and regional business plans.
Provide support on finance, budget and planning processes.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business decision making.
Manage the prioritization process including management reporting, tracking and monitoring deliverables.
Partner with respective functional areas on key issues related to management of the businesses in SEA (HR, Finance, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Audit).
