Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies that will facilitate the entry and expansion of the portfolio companies into the Singaporean and Southeast Asian markets
• Evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations for portfolio companies in the target regions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, industry players, government agencies, and local partners to drive business growth and opportunities.
• Provide strategic advice and market insights to portfolio companies, helping them navigate and capitalize on the regional market dynamics.
• Work closely with portfolio company leadership teams to understand their business objectives and tailor growth plans specific to the Singaporean and Southeast Asian markets
• Negotiate business deals, contracts, and agreements on behalf of portfolio companies
• Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes in Singapore and the Southeast Asian region, providing timely market intelligence to portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with the investment team to identify potential investment targets that align with the firm\'s strategic focus in the region

Requirements

• Master\'s degree from a prestigious university, preferably in a tech-related field.
• Proven track record in business development and market expansion, with a focus on Singapore and/or Southeast Asian markets
• Strong industry connections and a well-established network in the relevant sectors, such as technology, finance, healthcare, or other emerging industries.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles, with a successful track record of achieving business objectives
• Demonstrated ability to identify market trends, opportunities, and risks, and to develop effective market entry and expansion strategies
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Highly adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
