We would like to hire a Business Development Executive in our Global Forwarding Division who can contribute to the success of the business by effectively initiating and driving incremental sales in a professional, value adding and customer focused manner

The role

As the Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Growing the company's air and ocean freight business/services in Singapore, in accordance with the sales strategy and proactively finding, developing and qualifying leads, then converting them through the sales process into prospects and customers.
  • Proactively interacting and acquiring new customers for ocean, air and customs brokerage. Building strong and long-lasting relationships with new & existing customers in order to develop additional business opportunities.
  • Incorporating the daily use of the Global CRM platform to document sales activity and relevant customer business details.
  • Maintaining a sales pipeline to achieve agreed growth targets. Managing customer interactions including fostering relationships, making customer calls and closing deals
  • Growing Revenue and Volume Footprint to achieve economies of scale and service reliability
  • Partnering with the Toll network to increase volumes in key trade lanes & verticals in accordance with our Sales Strategy. Engaging with Network on Global Account Development
Qualifications

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelors Degree with minimum 2 years in freight forwarding sales
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding operations and selling process (Air, Ocean & Custom).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess intermediate computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.) skills.
  • Proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategies
